Taxidermia

An amazing entry into the genre of phantasmagoria filmmaking, this will last for quite awhile; no doubt will make it to cult status once the word gets out. Taxidermia deserves a place alongside the best work of Jodorowsky, Miike or Jeunet.

Unlike weaker films which will throw absurd, shocking or deviant images at the viewer for no apparent sense, this film uses the images to propel the film along, and to engage both the conscious and subconscious of the viewer. The absurd extremes of these stories make perfect sense, in their own sense.

Gory, obscene, crude, and filty as it is beautiful, don't expect this to be taken in by all viewers. However, the opening scene should easily drive those who won't watch this out quickly.
